PSG: What? Oh, sorry, it's not Singapore Idol… haha… okay, err, thank you for withstanding all my gushing and slamming at those haters and drooling over my obsessions… but really, what the hell do you expect from my obsession blog, eh?
Rupert Grint
Rupert Grint, or like to be known as Rupey or Rupe or Weaselby by Princess Siti Grint, was born on Wednesday 24th August 1988. That makes him 17 years, 10 months and blah blah blah days and blah blah blah hours and blah blah blah seconds. He was plunged into the world of movies and fame and stardom when he was only 11 years old acting as the very famous Ron Weasley (yes, not only Harry Potter is famous, so is his best friend Ron). After his brilliant role as Ron in the first Harry Potter movie, Philosopher's Stone, he was casted as the permed-haired young scientist wannabe in Thunderpants. As he grew up, more girls have been queuing up to propose to him (okay, so maybe just me). After rave reviews of his brilliant acting in Goblet of Fire (some said that he almost stole the limelight from Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson), he acted as Ben in Driving Lessons and the movie has been chosen to play in Tribeca Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival. Right now, he's shooting the fifth Harry Potter installment. Though Ron is very dorky and sometimes not so brave and can be quite an idiot and has an emotional range of a teaspoon, the only similarities between Rupert and Ron are fear of spiders and big family. Rupert is unique. He rode the unicycle and played the Australian aborigines instrument thingy called didgeridoo. If he's not an actor, I bet he'll be good in Cirque de Soleil. Haha! But he's like any normal teenager; he loves to build model aeroplanes and play golf (heard he's really good at it).
Famous quote from Rupert: “Being famous is wicked. But it's better to be normal.” (PSG's Note: Good on ya, Rupe!)

Jake Gyllenhaal
You can say that Jake is one lucky chap. He's born on 19th December 1980 into a family of talented people; his father is Stephen Gyllenhaal (Director), his mother is Naomi Foner-Gyllenhaal (Screenwriter) and his sister is Maggie Gyllenhaal (Actress). His god-mother is Jamie-Lee Curtis and he was taught to drive by family friend, Paul Newman. He started as a child actor in City Slickers alongside Billy Crystal. Then he appeared in films such as Josh and S.A.M and Dangerous Woman. He then got his first starring role as Homer Hickman in the heart-warming story of an aspiring rocket scientist in October Sky (I cried my eyes out watching this movie). Later, he starred in other films opposite famous and well-respected actors like Dustin Hoffman and Susan Sarandon (Moonlight Mile); Chris Cooper (Jarhead and October Sky); Dennis Quaid (The Day After Tomorrow); Jennifer Aniston (The Good Girl); Anthony Hopkins and Gwyneth Paltrow (Proof); Jamie Foxx (Jarhead). Currently, he has done filming Zodiac as a cartoonist, Robert Graysmith who searched for an infamous serial killer in San Francisco (think Jack the Ripper). He has won accolades for his role in cult movie, Donnie Darko and Oscar-nominated movie, Brokeback Mountain where he starred as a gay cowboy named Jack Twist. He loves to cook (and good at it too!) and read. He loves Harry Potter (like me) and has named his two dogs Atticus and Boo after his favourite book, To Kill A Mockingbird.
Famous quote from Jake: “First, it's ‘Who is Jake Gyllenhaal?', then it's ‘Get me Jake Gyllenhaal!', then ‘Get me someone who looks like Jake Gyllenhaal!', and then it's ‘Who is Jake Gyllenhaal?'. Right now, I'm between ‘Who is Jake Gyllenhaal?' and ‘Get me Jake Gyllenhaal!'.” (PSG's Note: Right now, I think it's ‘Get me Jake Gyllenhaal!'. No more in betweens!)

Paul Twohill
Paul is a 17-year-old Singapore Idol 2 contestant who has won many hearts of the young generation and also some girls with his emo-rock style and his wacky weird personality and some do like his weird wacky hairdo that is similar to Addams Family. Addams Family or not, he has the talent so much so that he's now through to the Top 12 of Singapore Idol 2. Before he stepped into the limelight, he was in Catholic High School where he was in a rock band named Ecnerret (Terrence spelled backwards) and has won Catholic High Music Awards 2004 in the rock band category. So far, in the competition, he has sang 3 Doors Down's Here Without You and made one female contestant cried and another male contestant to vote for him 3 to 4 times and not thought for one second to vote for himself. Even though he's wacky, loves to laugh at the peanut butter jar at his home and wants to rampage Toys R Us if the world ends tomorrow, his personal goal in life is quite a serious matter: “Make it big one day doing what I love.” And not just that, one of the things that will make him nervous is “when my voice is having a real bad day because I start to feel that I won't put up a show that is up to standard.” Another one thing to know about him: He has three Friendster accounts now cos two of his accounts has reached the maximum limit of 1000. That's how many friends and fans he has. And he has a fansite made for him by Arshanti at Paul Twohill Fansite.
Famous quote from Paul: “You smell pretty!” (PSG's Note: Aww, thank you Paul! I bet you smell pretty too, though you're somewhere in Singapore and I'm somewhere in Singapore too and we're both quite apart. Heheh!)

Gale Harold
You can say that Gale is my inspiration. Unlike most actors and actresses out there, he started acting late at the age of 28. He was born on July 10, 1969 in Georgia, US of A, which makes him a Cancerian like yours truly. Whoopie! Before he started acting, he was a carpenter and loves and restores Italian motorcycles. Wahey, I love motorcycles too! When he was younger, he acquired a diploma and under a soccer scholarship to begin a Liberal Arts Degree in Romance Literature at American University in Washington , D.C. However, because of some “creative differences” with his coach, he left the capital to study Fine Arts at San Francisco Arts Institute. However, that didn't last long too cos he squandered his academic scholarship and forced to make other plans. Oh Gale! Since he loves Italian motorcycles so much, that led him to several years of restoring and pants-set mechanics with Moto Guzzi motorbikes. So, you're probably wondering: “Man, when will this guy start acting?” Well, you don't have to wait for long cos in 1997, on the brink of financial exile from San Francisco , he was urged by his compatriot Suzy Landau, producer for Francis Ford Coppola (Dracula & Tucker) to take his act to the stage. After being introduced to actor and director Joan E. Scheckel, he re-located to Los Angeles , beginning an intensive 3-year period of dramatic study and exploration. This led him to his theatrical debut as Bunny in Me and My Friend. He also made his feature debut as Booker in 36K. Then he was accepted and completed the Actor's Conservatory Program with A Noise Within classical theatre company. There he appeared in productions like Misanthrope and Cymbeline. Then, he got his breakthrough role as the unapologetic and brutally honest gay Brian Kinney in Queer As Folk which made me love him. Currently, he's acting in Vanished alongside Ming Na as Agent Graham Kelton.
Famous Quote from Gale: “You have to like your character, because if you don't, no one else will either.” (PSG's Note: Wahey, that surely works cos no matter how bitchy Brian Kinney is, I still love that guy! Other than the fact that he has nice ass and very sexy! Hahaha!)

Kal Ho Naa Ho... Tomorrow May Never Come...
Yeah… tomorrow may never come… that’s why you have to be happy, do what you want to do and be who you want to be… today… because… tomorrow might never come…
Kal Ho Naa Ho… starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan and Jaya Bachchan… I just bought the VCD along with Koi Mil Gaya = I’ve Found Someone… starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta… but I decided to watch Kal Ho Naa Ho first… and I do not regret watching it… like any other Bollywood movies… I cried and cried non-stop… it’s so sad… plus… the song is nice… it has its funny moments too and that’s all because of Shah Rukh Khan’s and Saif Ali Khan’s characters… Aman and Rohit respectively… the message behind the movie is simple… live the day to the fullest because… kal ho naa ho… tomorrow may never come…
You see… we often take not just life but the day for granted… we tend to say… “Aiyah… tomorrow then can do lah…”… you see… we never realize that when we said that… we don’t think whether anything will happen tomorrow… when we sleep at night, would we wake up to see the day? And if we do wake up, what will happen? Anything is possible – bad or good…
My child arrived just the other day / Came to the world in the usual way / But there were planes to catch and bills to pay / He learned to walk while I was away / He was talking before I knew it / And as he grew he said / "I'm gonna be like you, Dad. You know I'm gonna be like you."
Chorus:
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon / Little boy blue and the man on the moon / "When you coming home?" / "Son, I don't know when. We'll get together then. You know we'll have a good time then."
Well, my son turned ten just the other day / He said, "Thanks for the ball, Dad. Come on, let's play. Could you teach me to throw?" / I said, "Not today. I got a lot to do." / He said, "That's okay." / And he walked away and he smiled and he said, "You know, I'm gonna be like him, yeah. You know I'm gonna be like him."
Well, he came from college just the other day / So much like a man I just had to say, "I'm proud of you. Could you sit for a while?" / He shook his head and he said with a smile, "What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys. See you later. Can I have them please?"
Chorus:
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon / Little boy blue and the man on the moon / "When you coming home, Son?" / "I don't know when. We'll get together then. You know we'll have a good time then."
I've long since retired, my son's moved away / I called him up just the other day. "I'd like to see you, if you don¹t mind." / He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I could find the time. You see my new job's a hassle and the kids have the flu. But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad. It's been sure nice talking to you."
And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me / He'd grown up just like me / My boy was just like me.
Like in the song above called Cat’s In The Cradle… the father was either away for work or rejecting his son to play ball with him… when asked when he’s coming home, he kept saying he doesn’t know but when they get together they would have a good time… he never think to himself that his son might do just the same to him… at last, when his son grew up, his son did the same thing his father did… and the father regretted it… he should have spent more time with his son… but now it was all too late…
What I’m saying is, when opportunities arise today, don’t ignore it… reach for it and hold on to it… don’t let it go… whatever you want to say or do, say or do it now… before it’s too late… like… if you want to say “I love you” to him or her… say it… not tomorrow… but today… if you want to clean the house… do it today… not tomorrow… if you saw a good job opportunity… take it today… don’t say, “I’ll think about it!”… if you want to join Singapore Idol… join now… not tomorrow…
Koi Mil Gaya is another great Bollywood movie I have ever watched in my entire life of watching other Bollywood movies… it goes beyond what typical Bollywood movie is… you know… he loves her, she loves him, but parents object… or… he loves her, she loves him, he’s going to die, so he rejects her, girl cries, another guy comes, he loves her, but she doesn’t, but the dying guy put them together, girl loves guy, happily ever after… or… he loves her, she loves him, another guy loves her, she doesn’t love him back, guy took revenge by proposing her marriage before the other guy, he comes to the rescue, they live happily ever after… or… she loves him, he loves her, but he was a wanted man / criminal because of the bad guy, but she refuses to let go of him, guy fights with bad guy, justice done, they live happily ever after… can you guess the movies I’m talking about? I know, a lot of movies have that same theme… so keep guessing… anyway… Koi Mil Gaya is a science fiction… similar to ET… but ET phones home in English… this other ET is one smart ET… he spoke Hindi… and his name is Jadu, not ET… but the story is not about Jadu, it’s about Rohit… played by hottie, Hrithik Roshan… Rohit is a mentally-challenged kid, or man, or is it kid? Never mind… Rohit is 20-something… but his mind is like a 10-year-old… he’s always being bullied by the ‘normal’ guys… then came Nisha… played by Preity Zinta… Nisha was his only companion other than the 10-year-old kids… because of her compassion, Rohit fell in love with Nisha… Nisha loves him too… but the problem is Rohit’s mental problem… so with the help of Jadu, Rohit became normal… see… the difference between this movie and the other movies is that the hero is not the normal good-looking, charming hero… he’s mentally-challenged… and he shows the value of friendships… and don’t underestimate a mentally-challenged kid… he has probably more compassion than ‘normal’ ones…
And Hrithik Roshan deserved all the awards he got from playing Rohit… he’s so good that for one second I thought he’s really mentally-challenged… it’s so believable… and when he cries, tears will automatically roll down your cheeks… and when he laughs, you wanna laugh along… and when he’s angry, you get angry too… and when he pouts, you feel like hugging him and said everything will be fine… that’s how good he is… but even though he acted as a mentally-challenged guy, he still managed to look oh-so-sexy… so I wonder how he did just that… this is the reason I love Hrithik Roshan… everything he does becomes either cute or sexy or hot… nothing ugly about it… for goodness sake… he makes guys in pink oh-so-hot… he can wear green, purple, pink, red, blue, yellow, and I can guarantee he will still look hot… and not forgetting, his eyes are so mesmerizing… it’s hazel-green by the way… when you look into his eyes, you wouldn’t want to look away… you wanna stay like that forever… and watch out Ricky Martin, here comes Hrithik Roshan! He can shake his booty better than Ricky… and another special thing about him is he has another thumb on his right hand… yeah, you read it right… he has another thumb… so, in conclusion, who needs Prince William or Justin Timberlake or David Beckham when you have Hrithik Roshan, who is almost perfect… he is also very down-to-earth and very modest… so I wonder where does this guy come from?
Another actor whom I like is Saif Ali Khan… he also played, coincidentally, Rohit in Kal Ho Naa Ho… this is the other actor who could wear absolutely anything at all and still manages to look cute and stylish in them… the fact that he could act so well makes me like him more… you see… initially I hated him… why? Because in his initial movies, he played as the bad guy… but as time goes by, I like him… because if he acts as a bad guy, I feel like throwing the remote control at the TV… and if he acts as a good guy, I feel like hugging him… it’s two extremes… nothing in the middle… it’s a love-hate situation… love him or hate him, he acts very well… maybe he doesn’t have the good looks of Hrithik Roshan… but I absolutely love his smile… I don’t know why… he has that cheeky-like smile… I like it… and also, he has a good heart… he got injured while playing soccer for a charity match… and still could go to IIFA Awards and still insisted on going onto the stage to say a ‘thank-you’ speech even though he was on crutches… all this he did it for the fans… how sweet can that be? Aaww…
Singapore Idol fever has hit the town… and as many of you will probably know by now, there are four judges, which is the original format… they are Douglas Oliveiro, Florence Lian, Dick Lee and Ken Lim… you would know who’s Douglas, who was a host of Rolling Good Times, Florence was a Perfect 10 DJ and Dick Lee, who everybody should know by now… but many would ask, “Who is Ken Lim?”… yeah, so he’s a Hype Records general manager or something… but ring-a-bell… he’s UNFAMILIAR… even for Douglas, Florence and Dick… those who are 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 probably won’t be familiar with them… Douglas hosted Rolling Good Times, which was eons ago… Florence was a Perfect 10 DJ like eons ago also… as for Dick, those who doesn’t really care about those people behind the scenes would also not recognize him… okay, so they are professionals in this entertainment area… but that’s what it is… ENTERTAINMENT… it should be filled with FAMILIAR faces… not faces that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before… but hey, despite the negativities, they are great judges… Douglas Oliveiro will definitely be the next Simon Cowell… he commented on a reporter singing God of Desperado or something like that… and he said, “Keep your day job cause that’s the worst version of God of Desperado I’ve ever heard!”… Florence will take place of Paula Abdul, but she’s more logical than Paula… Ken, I only have one advice for you: don’t try too hard! Dick, I don’t know how he will fare though… but I only have one thing to say to the Singapore Idol wannabes… GOOD LUCK… you need all the luck you have in the world with a judge like Douglas… and when I watched the news earlier in the week that showed one Idol wannabe singing… I thought to myself she’s no Fantasia, she’s not even Diana, she’s probably Jasmine… but I will definitely tell her good luck… she needs it… and those who actually quitted their jobs just to join Singapore Idol… what are you thinking? Do they realize the possibility that they might not get far beyond the auditions? Do they even think that they might not get into Top 12? Do they ever think of that? If I were them, I would not quit my job… I would take leave instead of quitting… I would wait until I get into at least Top 5 or Top 4 when I can guarantee that people will like me so much that producers might want to have a record deal with me before I quit my job… that’s the sensible way of doing things… but, that’s what Singapore Idol can do to people… anyway, I watched the news and somehow I recognize one of the contestants… he participated in Talentime Show before… the guy who sings like Elvis Presley… if you watched the news too, I am talking about the guy who said, “Bollywood, here I come!”… he looks really cute… and if he’s in the Top 36 or Top 12, I will definitely vote for him… he looks like a typical good-looking Bollywood actor… I really hope that he’s in the Top 36 or Top 12… I really like this guy… I don’t know how he sang though… but if my eyes are not playing on me and if the guy is really the guy I’m talking about that he can be the Singapore Idol…
By the way, I don’t know if you realize… but for those who listens to Perfect 10… where is Jean Danker? All-Request Live is now DJ-ed by Grace Chua, the winner of Perfect 10 DJ Hunt… so if Grace Chua is now the DJ for All-Request Live… where did Jean Danker go to? Does anybody know? I can’t find any departure news or anything like that about Jean!
So, so long now, my friends… Siti, out!
P.S: I got enrolled into Marketing!!! Woo-hoo!!! And I got stuck in B01 it seems… well, some things never change… haha… and oh yeah, another news… my computer seems to be infected with 3 viruses at the same time when I opened up my Internet browser… did anybody have a similar case like me? I don’t know why! I am so scares out of my wits right now! But luckily I just updated my virus scan and they quarantined every viruses that are found… if the viruses are quarantined, that means it won’t affect my other files, right? God, is there a patch that I can clean these viruses? Or is there a website I can go to? I need some help!
